Every year I donate my time working with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond. I shoot their big Red Shoe Rendezvous benefit every year, sometimes I shoot little events they have and every year I also head over to the house and take some pictures of their featured family.  This family is always people that have actually used the resources of the house while going through the hardest times a person can imagine...a seriously sick child. Every year the family is completely different...but one thing is always the same and that is the incredibly beautiful spirit of the members of the family. They are always so gracious, so full of smiles, so full of love. 

As always, the family splits their time between me and a local news team that does a story on their journey....which I get to see at the Rendezvous...and which always makes me cry.
